Join the Cape Cod Music Society at the Falmouth Historical Society for a moving evening of music that commemorates the spirit of Katharine Lee Bates' enduring anthem and the diverse voices that construct our American story. "From Sea to Shining Sea" brings together Cape Cod String Quartet, pianist Matthew Hutchinson, and singers Steve Ross, Emma Fahle, and Anna McEntee in performing beloved pop and contemporary songs—such as Imagine, Your Song, All I Ask of You, Stand by Me, and Fields of Gold—alternated with moving classical compositions such as Vivaldi's double concerto and semi-classical translations from the Danish String Quartet, rooted in the rich fiddle traditions of Denmark and Norway. This cross-genre program represents the unity, beauty, and cultural diversity Bates envisioned—uniting coast to coast, past to present, and hearts through harmony.
